Welcome to Five Valleys Voices!
We are a lively and passionate community choir based in North Woodchester, Gloucestershire. Formed in September 2013, we believe we proudly hold the title of the first community choir in the area. Our choir is made up of both a Ladies Choir and a Men's Choir who perform their own repertoire. We also perform together as a full SATB (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) ensemble, blending our voices to create something truly special.
Our repertoire is as eclectic as our members, featuring everything from new choral arrangements and original writing to rock, jazz, modern classics, comedy, gospel, and beyond. We’re not afraid to tackle tricky pieces—it’s all part of the fun—and we always rise to the challenge, learning and growing together as a team.
At Five Valleys Voices, we believe that music is about more than just performance—it’s about connection. Through our passion for music, we strive to entertain, engage, and leave our audiences with a smile. We perform twice a year at St. Mary’s Church in North Woodchester, with a Summer Concert in June and a Winter Concert in December, and we also support local fundraisers throughout the year, including events for the Canal Trust. Over the years, we’ve proudly raised funds for charities such as War Child, Sunflowers Suicide Support and Stroud Foodbank.
Our terms run from September to December and February through to June.
We’re more than just a choir; we’re a welcoming and friendly group of people who love to share the joy of singing. New members are always greeted with open arms, and we look forward to continuing to grow and make beautiful music together.
